The seasonal birds series (find them individually here) has been so popular that I decided to sew them all together into one giant embroidery project. Choose to use a traditional 9 inch hoop or grab the double hoop kit from the drop down menu. Be sure to read the details below.

This hand embroidery kit is available in two options:
1. Double hoop style. Your kit includes 2 hoops (9 inch, 3 inch) and Kaufman Essex Yarn Dyed line in "chambray" (the light blue grey I used for the sample hoop) fabric. You must transfer the design yourself. This design is quite complex so please be prepared to spend an hour tracing the design by hand. Other options include printable stabilizer but please be sure to test your method to ensure it's erasability. Some printer inks are not compatible with this method.
2.  Regular hoop style. Your kit includes 1 hoop (9 inch) and blue grey fabric permanently printed with the design. This fabric is not stretchy enough to be double hooped so your final hoop art will be framed in a single 9 inch hoop.

All kits also include:

  • 32 colors DMC embroidery floss organized on a floss card (one whole skein is included for the tree color)
  • Embroidery needles
  • The color printed embroidery instructions
  • A copy of the Beginner Guide

To complete the double hoop project you will also need:

  • Scissors (embroidery and fabric)
  • a pen or tool (such as printable stabilizer)for tracing the design
  • Glue for finishing (Aleene's, hot glue gun, etc) or you can lace the back of the fabric by hand

Your purchase includes the embroidery pattern and a copy of my beginner guide. The simple embroidery pattern includes a link to the video tutorial on YouTube, stitch and color keys, a color close up photo of stitched pattern and the design ready to trace for future projects (shrink or enlarge to meet your needs).

The beginner guide includes a supplies list with suggested products based off of my experience, tips on how to get started, including pattern transfer suggestions for future projects, plus diagrams of stitches. The beginner guide can also be found online here with helpful videos, plus you can find some additional tutorials here

*My kits do not include hand embroidery scissors but I do offer a selection

This pattern is for personal use only. Please do not copy or resell finished product.
