Sunshine Day Embroidery Pattern (PDF)

This bright, cheery pattern is perfect for beginners new to hand embroidery! The design features four classic hand embroidery stitches and there are only four colors of variegated floss to manage. The floral pattern repeats three times so you can stitch all three motifs the same or try new techniques as you make your way around the hoop.

Please note that I used four colors of variegated floss from Lecien Cosmo for my sample hoop. There are no exact DMC substitutions. If you want to create this exact hoop please purchase the kit. However, this design will look amazing with any combination of floss, variegated or solid in color, so have fun making it your own!

Your purchase includes the Sunshine Day embroidery pattern and a copy of my beginner guide. The embroidery instructions include a color and stitch key with Lecien Cosmo floss numbers and the design sized for a 7 inch hoop, ready to trace for future project. Please resize as needed.

The beginner guide includes a supplies list with suggested products based off of my experience, tips on how to get started, including pattern transfer suggestions for future projects, plus diagrams of stitches. The beginner guide can also be found online here plus you can find some additional tutorials here.
