Red-Winged Balckbirds (PDF)

This challenging embroidery project combines thread painting and stump work to create this soothing landscape featuring red-winged blackbirds. The design is inspired by the view of Mount Bachelor and the Deschutes River as seen from Sunriver in Central Oregon. The instructions and online video tutorial will be your guide as you pad the blackbird, create the 3D cattails and fill the space with realistic trees and plants.

Your purchase includes the embroidery pattern and a copy of my beginner guide. The embroidery pattern includes step by step instruction with diagrams, suggested DMC embroidery floss colors, a link to the online video tutorial and the design sized for a 6 inch hoop ready to print

The beginner guide includes a supplies list with suggested products based off of my experience, tips on how to get started, including pattern transfer suggestions for future projects, plus diagrams of stitches. The beginner guide can also be found online here with helpful videos, plus you can find some additional tutorials here.
