The simple embroidery pattern includes suggested stitch order, stitch and color keys, and a color close up photo of stitched pattern. The beginner guide includes a supplies list with suggested products based off of my experience, tips on how to get started, including pattern transfer suggestions for future projects, plus diagrams of stitches. I just started to learn embroidery. While it was a little expensive, getting the kit was worth it because all the supplies I needed were right there, I didn't have to stress about transferring the pattern onto the fabric and making a mistake, and I got to try out a colored fabric base without committing to a whole bunch of fabric. Between the copy of the pattern, the beginners guide, and the online tutorials, I am able to start picking up the stitches. The only thing that would improve the kit would be to make it known what size needles are provided as I am still learning how to tell what needle size is which.
