Checkered Chain Stitch

Checkered chain stitch creates a fun chain of alternating colors. Begin with two colors of floss threaded through the eye of your needle and come up at A. Insert the needle through the fabric from A to B, keeping one color below and one color above the needle tip. Pull the needle through and repeat, inserting from B to C, and keeping the other color below the needle tip. Pull through and continue to create a chain. Finish at D with a small straight stitch using both colors, anchoring the final chain. If you struggle with the sewing method described here you may find it easier to recreate this stitch using two threaded needles instead.
