Beginning September 21st, Animal Embroidery Workbook owners will be able to purchase kits with designs from the book at a discount.
Who doesn't love a good otter pun? These two cuties are a great introduction to using long and short stitch for filling furry mammals. Plus they are circled by a fun kelp wreath, featuring bright starfish and delicious sea urchins. Stitch the pattern as written, using long and short stitch to fill the otters, or modify it and only stitch the outlines to transform it into an easy beginner's pattern. This pattern is suitable for beginners but also fun for experienced stitchers, plus you can follow along with me on Youtube for a one hour video tutorial.
If you've purchased a copy of Animal Embroidery Workbook you can request a coupon for printed fabric and full kits featuring designs from the book here.

The beginner guide can also be found onlinehere with helpful videos, plus you can find some additional tutorialshere.
My kits do not include hand embroidery scissors but I do offer aselection. You may want to invest in a high quality embroidery hoop if you have trouble maintaining tension with the included hoop. I bind my hoops with fabric or fabric tape to help, but you may find plastic, metal or high quality wood hoops easier to use. You can then use the wooden hoop included in the kit for framing your finished work.
This pattern is for personal use only. Please do not copy or resell finished product.
